ranked is supposed to be the tryhard matches. I don't go into ranked to try out new stuff, or have a friendly match with my pals (although it can happen) I go into the match with the intent to win and get my piddly amount of ip so I can stave off falling back into silver. If you just want the ability to ban champs there's a normal draft mode just for you.

Just because you're not playing ranked doesn't mean you get to suddenly not play. If you're playing the game, you'd better be putting effort forward. You don't have to tryhard for every mode, but you should at least try.

This whole stigma behind "try-harding" or not at all is stupid. If you queue up, don't be some thorn in my ass down the line because of the game mode.
You don't have to be an obnoxious %%%% about the amount of effort you put in, but yes, I expect people to be trying to win the game they queue for.
xelaker6 votesI give a little leway for people in normals or draft since you have to practice against people somewhere or you just want to play a chill game. Obviously trolls and int'ers are a different story but if you go ranked you should be putting 100% into the match since it has stakes. The people spamming ff at 20 because we lost the first dragon should go back to normals.

Unker1391 votesI give a full effort every time I play AND I don't care about losing. I've ruined too many keyboards and controllers in my time and its not worth it. I play to win, say "good game everyone" in post game chat regardless of the outcome (and I actually mean it).
Maybe some of the toxicity is due to the thinking that if you don't publicly display frustration at losing that you are not trying.
