Hello guys. I'm really bored to see how everyone playing 
toplane. What happened to my favorite dunkman? Why he got pushed out of meta so hard? What happened to Garen? Really rare champion too.
Not crying for buffs or something. Just trying to understand why my favorite champions aren't that useful as meta champions.

redniwediS1 votesGaren and Darius are doing pretty well when in competent hands. I don't know Darius too well, but every time I see him he's a force to be reckoned with.
I've mained Garen for years though, and at the moment the top lane meta does just fine for him. Not too many ranged opponents and not too many hard duelists. So long as you know how to properly scale out of the lane phase and into your mid game role as a split pushing, pick catching menace who shows up for the big objectives you should do just fine with him.

redniwediS1 votesIt is a pretty fun matchup. Just make sure you don't get cocky, since you can easily lose that natural edge you have in lane if you let your guard down.

redniwediS1 votesThere are ways out of that situation, if the Garen knows what they are doing. The lane phase will be rough, but if the Garen played well it will end far sooner than you're expecting.
TP Gank and roam at every opportunity. Darius will get a nice lead, but the name of Garen's game is to cause early rotations around the map. That is where Garen will catch up.

when i faced the last darius main, we went pretty even. he got a kill on me, i got a kill on him, and i managed minion waves to keep up in cs. it was actually pretty chill and while we were laning we discussed the benefits of taking stormraiders surge (which he went with) over grasp of the undying.
top lane can be pretty cool at times. not seen opponents get along so well in other lanes.
i remember another game where i went against a renekton, and we stopped trading for a while to spam jokes and emotes.

Ekko is the hardest matchup since ekko is so overtuned (he's getting more nerfs up ahead).
Maokai is the easiest to five stack.
Nautilus is easy so long as you watch out for jungle ganks, which nautilus is very good at setting up.

That is hilariously wrong.
Darius benefits from black cleaver better than any other champion not named lucian because of how his passive bleed works.
Darius isnt garbage, he's sitting at a perfect 50%.
He counters melee laners like illaoi, maokai, nasus, yasuo, malphite, etc. and struggles against ranged top laners like ryze, gnar, jayce, etc.
Darius dunk resets and noxian might is still very potent.
Hes not meta anymore like he was last season after juggy update, but hes not trash.
Garen is quite a big step below darius, but he can still do something if he can get to the villain.
JavelinJoe1 votesI played Garen a lot pre-6.9, but what is easy for me is very hard on people who have little to no experience on him in the current meta. Most people expect Garen to be this massive tank wall at early levels and just rush some form of damage like BC before getting any tank items. ThisG makes them easy to kill and they cant farm as efficiently then. Secondly, players do not realize how not gold reliant Garen really is. Just get bandit, poke with Q get 10 gold. also get 1 gold from minions dying if you are zoned not much but it helps.
