Hello guys. I'm really bored to see how everyone playing 
toplane. What happened to my favorite dunkman? Why he got pushed out of meta so hard? What happened to Garen? Really rare champion too.
Not crying for buffs or something. Just trying to understand why my favorite champions aren't that useful as meta champions.
Darius is fine. He's not FoTM but he's strong for sure.

Garen and Darius are doing pretty well when in competent hands. I don't know Darius too well, but every time I see him he's a force to be reckoned with.
I've mained Garen for years though, and at the moment the top lane meta does just fine for him. Not too many ranged opponents and not too many hard duelists. So long as you know how to properly scale out of the lane phase and into your mid game role as a split pushing, pick catching menace who shows up for the big objectives you should do just fine with him.
Darius honestly counters most of the FOTM champs atm. he stomps ekko maokai and naut in lane pretty hard. maokai being his hardest matchup out of the 3
Darius feels pretty garbage and I can explain why I think that. Current meta champions peform way better than Darius cuz they benefit from their core items more. He scales really slow. (Better version of Nasus)
I played Garen a lot pre-6.9, but what is easy for me is very hard on people who have little to no experience on him in the current meta. Most people expect Garen to be this massive tank wall at early levels and just rush some form of damage like BC before getting any tank items. ThisG makes them easy to kill and they cant farm as efficiently then. Secondly, players do not realize how not gold reliant Garen really is. Just get bandit, poke with Q get 10 gold. also get 1 gold from minions dying if you are zoned not much but it helps.
