There is a lack of early defensive rune
So while i was looking to make a rune page to not get 1 shot by
at lvl 2. I realized there was a lack of early game defensive rune. Especially because most mage start with very low base armor such as
with 19. League armor formula is damage * (100 / (100 + armor or resistance)). In other words, early game armor is lot more important on lower base armor and later building health is better than keep stacking armor. Pre-season 8, mage got health scaling as compensation of removal of old rune, it was because it was the most common yellow rune. It was the most common because we had AP vs AP matchup most of the time, we still used to go 9 armor yellow rune vs AD.
So after looking at resolve rune, none give me what I want.
Resolve base stat : Scaling hp
Tier 1 Demolish : Help tank to take down turret faster. Stoneplate : Unreliable, poke once, lose all 3 stack. Font of life : For tank support, no use in solo
Tier 2 Conditioning : Take effect at 10m Second wind : Good agains't poke on tank. Useless on squishies vs burst Chrysalis : Nice 50 hp, but why it upgrade into a offensive rune.
Tier 3 Overgrowth : Scaling hp Revitalize : Only useful on healer/shielder/life steal/spell vamp Unflinching : CC reduction
This tree is useless for many champion seeking for defensive rune.
