Why do I get an S-? why is Riot so obscure when it comes to this?

Playing an assassin getting the most kills 16/5/6

Most gold in the game 15,278

Most damage by far 34k

Assisted on tower kills and dragon

And 186 CS which is a little low but then again I'm an assassin I'm supposed to kill people as the priority not farm like a karthus.

I've gotten way worst scores then this and gotten S or even S+ so why the fuck did I get an S- on this game? I want my lvl 7 mastery as katarina and this BS score system just keeps giving me A+ and S- like its gotten too far and I just had to make this post.

Well, there's your issue. You're getting those stats as Katarina. A lot of people get crazy KDA with her.

The Grading system turns a single game into a competition on two separate fronts.

Your end-of-game stats are your performance in that game against the other team in the same game.
Your grade is your performance in that game against people playing your champion and role in other games.

Know how teachers grade on a curve? Have you ever seen a teacher grade on a strict curve? My cousin's law professor did that. To encourage bloodthirsty competition in the would-be lawyers, he gave them an assignment with a strict grading curve. If everyone scored a 98%, everyone received a C. You have to outperform almost all Kat players in your position to get an S.

It looks like your vision score is a little low. you bought no control wards and only placed 9 wards in a 30 minute game.

I've noticed on Zac it takes crazy higher scores to get an S than on pretty much any other champion I've tried. The competing against other players on the same character in your role thing makes for some really high requirements on some champs.

I'm wondering if there is a list somewhere of what characters need the highest scores for an S.
