actually they are adding 0.2 AP scaling to fleet footwork (0.4 total),but there is no AP that will pick it as precision tree gives only AS,why this tree can't give adaptive AS / AP or adaptive AS / CDR?

Riot spouts that runes should be open to everyone and you choose your playstyle as well as they help out their “ranged compatriots” (phase rush change) yet immobile mages are just left to spam sorcery/inspiration

Why? Precision is about Attack Speed and Auto-Attacking in general, which mages do very little.
The few AP auto-atrackers that use it (Kayle, Diana) are very well served, so no change is warranted.
Hey now, this is the AS tree, where we get our AS if we don't want crappy AD or AP. But I guess you guys aren't happy until the Resolve Tree admits its true caster roots either, eh?
I wouldn't mind maybe a merger of Precision and Sorcery, though, to be honest. Something of an AS / CDR tree (adaptive?) to focus on more aspects of dueling with speed. The odd part is that Precision doesn't have a lick of MS aside keystones, though, unlike most of the other trees. Kind of a letdown. If Press The Attack wasn't kinda OP on its own, the tree would fall apart altogether.
I don't think precision tree is about ad champions but more for auto attack champions and most of them just happen to be ad
not claiming that it's optimum, but those champs all have some use for the precision tree even with AP build paths, since the only non-applicable rune in the entire tree for AP champs is bloodline, then i don't see the issue

Probably because it is a mostly attack damage carry tree, almost all the keystones and mini keystones cater to them. But it isnt like Kayle and Diana can't use them. I dont see why it should specifically be catered to other mages when it is already viable on some. It isnt like Arcane commet is viable on all adc's it only is viable on some, I dont see a problem in that either.
some made nice points saying there are some APs that can use this AS but what if sorcery would give only AP instead of adaptive AP/AD? sure jhin players would complain... i could say he still have some AP scaling but he would like more some AD,limiting this tree to only APs (and some hybrid champions)

new runes are made for being flexible,so why an AD can get adaptive stats on "mages" tree but mages can't with the "ADC/bruisers" one?
the only AP that may want this AS is ,others would still prefer some AP or CDR,especially some potential footwork users
Presence of mind + Mana Band has been a godsend for Aurelion Sol.
Precision isn't for AD or AP. It's a tree that gives attack speed. This means that anyone reliant on attack speed would want it.
As pointed out, this just happens to be a lot of AD champs, because attack damage always boosts AA damage, while AP boosting it is a far rarer case. But you'll see that those AP champs that do utilize attack speed (with the exception of Azir, I believe) tend to opt into it.
Making it adaptive AS/AP or AS/CDR would actually fuck over AP champions that wanted it for the attack speed, while doing next to nothing for AP users (few other runes in the tree are worthwhile for mages. Only Fleet Footwork and Press the Attack might be worthwhile for actual mages). Screwing over all AP autoattackers to give mages the option for one of two keystones they don't even really want is not a good decision.
Or better yet, Rito should make more proper AP auto attacking champs beside . Personally i wouldnt mind being turned into one

Maybe Fleet Footwork's scaling isn't adaptive so hybrid champions can actually use it and not get half effectiveness.
I said earlier that the rune pages don't offer sustained or burst DPS that is universal to all classes but it's gated by class roles meaning that precision is made for ADC's but not Sustained DPS and Domination is for Assassins and some burst Mages but or all classes.
I like the idea but Viktor probably still wouldn't use it. He already gets an MS buff from his Augmented Q and needs damage from his runes.
What rune in precision are you looking to get?
It would be nice if Press The Attack was changed into a 3-unique-attacks-or-spells proc with a lowered damage boost as well. 12% is kind of absurd as-is even with the bugfix making the proccing hit not apply its own bonus damage.
