In the end of the day, you might have a MMR of a Gold-Diamond player but stuck in a Silver Tier Border, if that makes sense.

League of Legends has a lot of players today, millions upon millions, being the top 500K is actually an achievement. You have to consider the Tier System is very old and created in a time when not a lot of players played ranked.

Silver is actually the new Gold-Plat because there is not enough spots in the upper tiers to fill them all.

What we really need is another rework of the Tier System.
