Idea for Galio W-Bulwark rework?

Galio is due for a rework eventually, though it will probably be Kat level in scope. If we are going to go along with Galio's Anti-Magic identity, I had an idea that may help.

What if Galio's W granted a spell shield (think nocturne/sivir) instead of just flat resistances? First of all it would help with the problem of Galio's ult being distrupted by on-hit abilities like Udyr's bear stance or Blitz's knock-up. Second, a spell shield is in line with his anti-magic identity. Third, it brings something unique to his kit that other champion's can't do (No one can grant a sivir-like spell shield). Fourth, it's more active and obvious than just a passive resist boost and a heal over time.

If the shield pops, it could have some additional effect like getting a heal, or bonus resist.

First, the heal on his W is actually really good in lane. You can get some minions to attack you and get a large chunk of health back easily. Second the bonus mr from the shield counts for your passive thus also giving you ap while its up. I think his W is fine.

NO NO NO NO NO. Do you play Galio bro? His w is one of the most crucial parts of his kit. Take away bulwark and I would like both my Galio skins refunded. His Bulwark gives him sustain, a heal with armor and mr to block intended burst, it can be used to save a squishy ally, to heal of minions, not to mention it increases the damage of all your other abuilities by giving you MR. Why in gods name would you want to take away his bread and butter???

If Galio is reworked it should be slight changes to q and e and maybe a slight changed to on hit effects on ult (honestly not needed). If they really wanna give Galio a slight buff then make his E slow enemies who are moving in its path. Changing Bulwark to a spell shield will turn Galio into a shitty support and he will be played even less.
