Burst and be Bursted isn't healthy.
The pattern of assassins and some adcs (Ahem: {{champion:42}) isn't going to help this game.
All it does is create a 1:1 ratio of satisfaction to dissatisfaction.
In a game, you want to make sure as many people as possible, even those losing, have a satisfying and fun experience.
However, when it comes to burst or be bursted, all that happens is champion 1 spamming his/her abilities onto champion 2 and hope that the other champion dies.
This creates one of the two things
1: Enjoyment for the assassin or that who bursted because they just did a lot of damage and got a kill and might get a double kill. Oh boy how fun! Meanwhile, the person who GOT bursted feels like they were cheated out of a minute of their time (because death timers are ridiculous atm)
OR
2: Enjoyment for the person who survived the burst as now they can survive and think to themselves "I outsmarted you. Take that!" Meanwhile, the assassin or bursty person feels bad because he just died trying to do the only thing he's good at (Doesn't apply to sustained carries to also have good burst, but they should feel bad dying anyways because they are the carry and they let their team down."
Either way, one person is gonna feel bad and one person is gonna feel good, assuming someone isn't already tilted or just has a naturally positive attitude.
In an ideal situation, the situation would go as follows
Champion 1 uses all of his/her abilities as champion 2 uses their abilities as well. They use about 1-2 spell rotations before champion 1 emerges victorious.
In this situation, there is something that both of them could have done.
Champion 2 could have tried to run away, perhaps even making champion 1 waste a summoner spell before dying besides
, or they could have an ambush being set up, and because a fight takes more than 1 second, there would be time for reinforcements to come if they were nearby.
I understand that ideal situations cannot always be followed through, but Riot shouldn't be encouraging the OPPOSITE.
tl;dr
Fights (or 1v1s at the very least) should be fun and satisfying for both players participating, rather than someone dying instantly or failing to kill their target and die in a flash ![]()
Agrees.
