Surrender after people dieing?

I thought you can't surrender after people die. I just played a game where at 3 mins my mid laner killed their jungle, died, then enemy team surrender (two deaths)

You can remake after a death, but not if it's because of someone who disconnects before first blood. Remake is available if someone has already disconnected before anyone on that team dies.
