Leveling during the game

I play support a lot and I'm constantly under leveled because I roam. If my bot lane gets an early kill or double kill why should I be punished if I roam down the river to mid. For a game that is constantly pushing against "meta" why would you WANT me to sit down bot just getting xp. It's boring and it doesn't help my team. I'm I missing something? You want to add some extra thrills stop punishing the characters that roam. Or at least don't make us so far behind in xp. we are already giving up gold. If i want to ward for my adc chances are i'm not in the ring to earn xp.. If I save my mid who is being chased I'm punished. If you think I'm wrong or doing something please let me know. I feel I've played this game long enough and I've never experienced the under leveling like I have this season.

If you're roaming after you leave bottom there should be a good reason, and if there is, then there should be some sort of benefit that comes from it.

If you roamed mid, you're still soaking the xp mid, plus you you should have gotten something out of it (vision, a kill into objective, etc.) which will outweigh the experience you might have lost.

Also, watch your replays; if you are really that under leveled consider the fact that you may be basing at the wrong times during lane.
