Is Jhin mid good?

I've heard the legends, but I've never done it myself. The only time I ever saw a Jhin mid he was mastery 7 and I was the enemy mid laner, playing Zoe before she got nerfed. That poor man.

However, I just successfully played Jhin 1v2 bot lane for about 5 or so minutes(Soraka afked at start and Darius got first blood before the minions even spawned so no remake). The enemy bot lane was a duo, SG MF & SG Lux, both mastery 7 I think. Without Soraka I got a few levels ahead of them, they were 4 & 2 while I was level 6. I got them both low and ulted, double kill. Did it again after my ult was back up, only got Lux but almost got MF again too. So that's 3 kills with no support or Jungler ganks. Soraka came back, game went downhill a bit. Noct was camping my lane after that. It was still a sweep though and they FF after we got Baron. My main concern with Jhin mid is that I don't think I could successfully fight against most mid laners, at least not early game. That last game was my first successful run with Jhin with no support what so ever, so I'm not sure how well I'd do going mid with him.

So if anyone has any tips regarding Jhin mid or would like to advise me against it, go ahead and post.

Depends actually , last time I played against Jhin was as a Lux at level 1 he stole our Blue buff with his W , I got raped during the lane , I died twice

Jhin mid is good if your enemy mid is bad

literally any mage or assassin can whoop Jhin's ass if they get close enough

You can abuse most champions level 1-2 but even with an early first blood you will quickly lose your edge. You can have some fun with it, but it can be frustrating sometimes as you can still lose while outplaying your opponent.

Personally I prefer full lethality MF, her q bounce pokes super hard, W allows you to back easily and ulti for wave clear.

Neither are very strong tho.

I would say a hard no.

You have no mobility and your only defense is a linear skill shot that you have to stand still to even attempt, you can get out pushed easily and your roaming would be kind of meh

A very situational pick only for fun. In every situation, there will be better mid laners to pick. If you're against someone with long range poke or an assassin, you will be completely screwed. I've only tried it a few times against champions like Kassadin and Heimerdinger. Short answer, no, don't play him as a mid laner.

ADCs are pretty good mid-lane, especially against Mages.

Things will get even better for them when minions changes hit live.
