Worried About League.

Just posting this because I'm legitimately worried about league. Now I'm not entirely sure of these the validity of these stats but if they are true in any form then league could possibly keep decloning as Overwatchs popularity rises and leagues decreases.

Riot has to recognize that they have actual competition now and act accordingly. One way to start is by making the game more friendly to newer players .

I mean, overwatch has practically everything a game has, and the company created one of the most popular online games ever, before overwatch, all the games the company has is good, riot only has 1 game and its pretty much shit at this point.

There are a few key differences between OW and LoL that do make OW slightly more appealing. Personally, I like how the games don't drag on forever and it's fairly well balanced since you can change heroes mid match rather than having to suffer through 40 minutes of being countered. That said OW is still new and hyped up. That should balance out in a few months. Look at the Division(?) they lost near 80% of their player base not long ago after its initial appeal wore off.

Riot have brought this upon themselves. Not listening and outright neglecting your playerbase will do that. The small communities that Riot did have they went out of their way to remove in order to bring in new players for their precious E-Sports, so when people finally do leave in droves, they won't even have a loyal playerbase to fall back on.

Well it looks like that is at internet cafe's in Korea. I mean Overwatch was just released so its partially no surprise that a lot of people are checking it out. That being said, I know myself and many of my friends like Overwatch but get bored after a couple of games. Once competitive play is introduced into Overwatch that could change though.

Not saying League numbers are not down, as I really have no idea what the current stats are. But that chart is not enough to make me worry about League.

Pro players are leaving the main queue for a private server because of this horrible decision by Riot. That's just how bad it is. For me it's solid proof that this game is dying. I used to love this game, but if they are too stubborn to revert a change that is obviously a huge mistake, then decline they will and I hope they do.

I believe I've heard that there are over 10 million overwatch players as of now. Launch Hype + Streamer Popularity, now once E sports picks up with it, the game is going to explode.
