True information on Fiora's Ult.

So me and a friend wanted to test the so called True max % hp damage, on fiora. Thinking it would a fun idea to learn all of the potential of her ult.

We did a series of test to figure out a coupe of things.

1.) How much percent damage does fioras ult scale by with AD? 2.) is is possible to reach 100% true damage. 3.) Does the info on her ult show how much total true damage you do? or single damage per vital?

These are the questions we asked. and I am here to answer them for you.

How much percent does your ult scale by with AD?

First off let me state that fioras scaling only affects BONUS Attack damage, so her base damage is actually not calculated in her stats ( took me a while to figure that out )

I have figured out that her ult increases by 1% for Every 6-7.5 Ad you have. To first test this out, I did a series of test with no rune pages or masteries. Just a naked champion in aram map. By default her ult starts off at 12% . So with ever item I bought, I divided the damage from the amount f bonus % damage I got form her ult. A bf sword gave me about a 6% bonus(18% true damage ). But buying items like 3 long swords should of gave me about 5% + bonus, but instead only gave me 4% ( 16% true damage ). So I figured that her ult must of been rounded off. After doing these test some more I finalized that her numbers should roughly be 1% per 7.5 Ad ( roughly ) rounded off to the nearest number.

Is it possible to have over 100% true damage.

The answer to this question is both.. yes.. and no.. To start let me say that this test was performed with AD masteries, or AD runes. Both of which would of affected the test in a huge way if I had.

Long story short, I bought about 6 Essences' reaversitem 3508 and 1 Maw of malmourtis item 3156 . I let him get me low as health as possible and see how much damage my ult did. I roughly had over 590+ AD.

As you can see In the picture below, it shows how much her ult can go up too without a sword of the occult, or ad masteries. But without being low health, my ult only did about 95% True damage.

Does info on her ult show how much total true damage? or damage per vital?

This one kind of bugged me since it wasn't really clear. I always assumed that it was True damage per hit, but it turns out that its really just total True damage

Is her passive better to use than her ultimate?

Now before All of you go ( "Well DUH, ofc it is. Its a ultimate !") let me explain my reasoning for this question.

at 590 + ad I started to do some thinking. What does her passive do? Well it turns out her passive does a shit ton of damage. 23% ( rounded down ) worth. Its a lot to consider on whether you should go for a kill or waste time popping your ult. But if you do the math, 23% *4 = 92% Max hp damage . . . . What the hell? that's when it hit me. Even at level one, her ult only did 12% hp damage, and her passive did 3% ( I am slow for not realizing this sooner )

**The Truth about fioras ult.... Is that basically... Its her fcking passive x4. **

Now you may be like me and go ... "well duh, that's what its supposed to be" but think about it like this. From Level 1 ult to Level 3. Fiora gains no damage stats or advantage form her ultimate. The only thing affected by putting points into it, is her CD. Other than being an easier way to proc her vital, Her ult has no function than a heal... So all this time You been lied too.

Fiora's ult is no more than a simple executioner than a actual ult. They put all this glamour into making it look good, all this pizzaz into saying "It does So much % True damage!" But the reality of it is . . . If your a good fiora player? why even bother popping your ult? when you can just use your passive? what benefit does her ult provide you than a mana sinkhole, a after fight heal and a free passive shot.

Her ults only function is to reactivate her passive, and when I look at it like that, it makes me kinda sad. Cause I was expecting so much more for a champions Ultimate.... not just a mini passive buff. That being said, I want to clear this misunderstanding up once and for all.....

Conclusion......

Fiora's ultimate is not overpowered..... HER PASSIVE, Is overpowered. In a single number, it doesn't do amazing damage, but when you put it into the scope of her ultimate, that's where you can actually see it shine in full glory.

So I hope this post was helpful for some of you who were curious about this as I was, and sorry for the long post. Thought it was a necessary explanation about why her ult is really under whelming... Even without it, you can still do a shit ton of damage... So the final question is,

  • do you even need it???
  • Should it get replaced with a ult that has a better function? and not a Wanna be janna ultimate?
  • Thoughts and comments please

I don't even know how to respond to this. Why didn't you just look her up before you started your "tests"? Almost everything you need is here.
Anyhow. Her ult is amazing because it lets her proc her passive four times in quick succession. Each time she is healed and deals a lot of damage. Additionally, she gains a whole lot of Movement Speed when around her target. Like ... a lot. And if she does hit all four - or just one + kill - she heals herself and her teammates for more than Janna ever could, without having to stand still. Her ult isn't some AoE fancy destoyer thingy. it's just unique and helpful and actually pretty easy to proc. Use it, dash to your target and let your team burst them >> heals.
Her other three abilities are all she really needs to be a duelist. Her ult is the big +.

P.s. : Just to be clear, Fiora is a Duelist. She doesn't need a damaging spell for an ult. She just needs something that helps her auto-attack her enemies and survive doing so, which her ult does.

But then, where is the fun in that :D? but seriously I forgot all about that until after I made this post lmao. But it was fun anyway.

Also I see what you are saying and you make some valid points. However. Dueling is a fundamental part of league of legends anyway. Knowing how to trade in lane is a fundamental part of the game and is how you learn how to snowball. My point is this, when you have champions like Riven XinZhao Irelia Diana who can duel people 1v1 just fine, and still have a power spike ult. Why does fiora have to be the exception??

I mean, I know you said that she is supposed to be this Grand Duelist... But dueling doesn't mean a champion in league of legends canot have a finisher ult? or one that at least has more of a impact for the champion themelves. Not something that takes 100% mechincal skill ( Over your opponent I might add ) when other champions like darius, riven, yi, can all just dunk you anytime you want..

If fiora was a stand alone champion in any other game.... I would agree with you 100%. Her kit seems great... But since she is in league of legends, I have to make comparison to others. And honestly, the whole notion of " We want her to be different " was taking a bit far in my opinion. Cause now we have a champion that is so fundamentally different , that she seems lack luster in any teamcomp you make.

Honest question, can you name me one team comp that fiora ABSOULTEY excels in by herself? That riven, irelia, xin, cannot take that same role? cause as it stands, there are many dueling champions out there than fiora, and they may not have that true damage passive but they still hurt non the less, with a much crazier powerspike.
