Give me my full-frontal, all-business, close-range rock mage with scary potential the closer you get to her. The weird positioning game they tried to play with her mines would have been better fit to a design like Heimerdinger, where they could easily have just put her at the fringe of the fight.
The Worked Ground mechanic and rocks theme seemed to fit better to a champion who wanted to bring the fight right up to her opponent-- Taliyah decidedly wants none of this, and instead dances around creating 'low poke zones' for herself. This probably results in a lot of zoning.

I don't know, her passive, W and E give me the idea that Riot forced her release without even thinking if the champ was going to work. "WOW! THIS WORKED GROUND THING, ULT AND PASSIVE FIT PERFECTLY HER NOMADIC HISTORY!" End of the story. I still like her, her look, the fact that she's not the typical oversexualized character but is a more realistic girl, her lore, her personality ecc... But I believe she could've been a better champ.

That cartoon was terrible and I disliked Taliyah purely on that basis..... yes that is petty.
I guess I should want every champion to be balanced but I can't force myself to like such a character.
