Random Bloodrazor Remake Idea

Probably terrible, but I figured it would pitch it.

I'm sure everyone recalls the old Bloodrazor. It was something of a trap item on Rangers due to its magic damage and somewhat iffy stat combination. So this got me to thinking, what if we brought this guy back, but with a twist?

item 1026 +item 3145 +item 1043 = Madred's Bloodrazor

Grants AP, Spellvamp, IAS and the following- UNIQUE passive: Your basic attacks deal bonus magic damage equal to 4% of the target's maximum HP (capped at [reasonable amount] against monsters and turrets). UNIQUE passive: Your OnHit magic damage can now Spellvamp

Not just a companion item for Nashor's, but also an item that would allow AP champions to improve their objective control by no small amount if they felt like sinking a bunch of gold into IAS and OnHit effects. The spellvamp part isn't super important to the concept and could be axed easily enough if folks felt it would be too overbearing on Wolfy and friends, but I figure an alternative spin on auto-attackers could be fun.

I think my biggest issue with OnHit items is that Riot has done very little to give them a distinct purpose.

See, Riot keeps making OnHit items for ADCs.

And really, that isn't a very good idea.

Because when it comes to damage, nothing is going to beat AD/IAS/Crit%/CritDmg.

Nothing.

And so that means OnHit gear needs to do something different.

The two options I see are Bruiser items akin to Wit's and (sort of) BotRK or AP/IAS items like Nashor's Tooth. Obviously this item remake is aiming at the latter rather than the former.

Not half-bad, your concept is sound.

Certain champions will be nerfed, but considering the spell vamp, it would be a healthy method of synergy that fulfills the item niche they're lacking.

Thanks for the feedback!

Nashor's is criminally under-utilized right now. There are quite a few AP champions that could hypothetically pick it up, but it feels like they don't due to the rather glaring lack of synergy with other items. The remade Bloodrazor, Nashor's, and Lichbane would make a pretty solid core of items on auto-attack focused AP champions.
