Unpopular Opinion: Tank items on squishes are fine...

Lets be real here, almost all of my ideas are unpopular. That and it makes for pretty good downvote farming.

Anyways, for the subject matter I actually think its fine and the game was healthier when squishes build defense items. Sure assassins weren't as effective at 100-0ing people but that was fine too. It was all a trade off.

We used to have a small rotation between damage, and tank items where you felt like you could actually defend yourself (a little). Sure you weren't unkillable, and in some cases it was too much, but that wasn't necessarily the largest issue, some number returning to encourage building offence items were all that was needed. (sites tank ekko rework). Instead we had years of tank item nefs, changes, and even huge changes to the ad itemization all to avoid any negative aspects of squishies building tank items.

Sadly these changes have warped the game so much that we are right back to where we started where we have items like That have alot of defense with little drawbacks into purchasing them.

Lets just get back to what made league a popular game. A game where you choose trade offs.
