"The Only Way To Play This Game"
It seems that people these days only understand one way of playing this game.
"If you're unsure what's going on, just invade the ennemy JG or fight the ennemy JG in the river and try to luck it out. If you lose, just keep gambling until 20. Oh and if Mid pings MIA, no need to worry because Mid will follow and it will in the worst case be 3 v 3 down there and if not, then Mid = noob."
Its not so much that it's a "snowball meta" or that its an "assassin meta" its quite simply that most of the player base is absolutely lacking in tactical common sense and refuses to adapt to other picks.
For instance, there is an alternate strategy (in fact one that is favoured in the LCS) where you pick a super powerful AOE scaling hyper carry mage in mid (ex Viktor, Azir, Vladimir etc) and YOUR TEAM PLAYS SAFE.
But Solo Q players NEVER understand this. Hence they complain about "assassin meta"/"snowball meta" while really the problem is with their inability to play properly with a scaling Mage mid.
Solo Q players only know how to play the game one way (a very retarded way) where they gamble until 20 and don' respond to MIAs or respond to different mid picks. In reality, if we could raise AWARENESS about just how much firepower picks like Viktor, Vladimir, Azir, Ori etc have in the late game... MAYBE we could encourage an alternate play style (that by the way, always existed but for the ignorance of players).
