When Pyke was put on PBE, I thought he seemed pretty balanced for a new champion

The new item, "Spear of Shojin", changes that completely.

Spear of Shojin Recipe: [B. F. Sword + Kindlegem + 900g] Total Cost: 3000g +65 Attack Damage +200 Health +10% Cooldown Reduction UNIQUE Passive: Reduce damage from champion attacks and abilities by 10 plus 15% of bonus attack damage. UNIQUE Passive: When Near at least 3 enemy champions, attack to gain Dragon Heart (90s cooldown). Dragon Heart: Block 200% more damage for 6s, refreshing on takedown.

Pyke is a menace to the backline. If he isn't killed fast, he's gonna kill somebody. Now that he can shrug off 30 (+45% bonus AD) damage from every attack/spell thrown at him in a teamfight, good fucking luck killing him before he kills you.

This isn't just a Pyke problem, by the way. Any champion who tends to come by high amounts of bonus AD can become stupidly durable.

Rengar with his bonetooth Jhin with whisper DrMundo with Masochism+Atmas (oh yeah, they're addind Atmas back into the game), as if he wasn't hard enough to kill already. Darius with Noxian Might

Talon Khazix Zed Gangplank Fiora just from their other core items.

This is problematic.

I more than agree, this item seems to be flying under the radar and nobody's talking about it. It seems beyond broken to me. Can you imagine trying to kill a XinZhao or a Garen with this item? I predict this item will make fighters and juggernauts beyond top tier (and that's only if the Dragon Heart passive radius is small. This item could be huge for some ranged characters like Graves or Jhin ).

This item is essentially a permanent bone plating that's even stronger when you're in the middle of a fight and the amount of potential damage this item can absorb while simultaneously giving offensive capabilities is ridiculous. item 3812 is annoying enough as is, imagine that combined with Spear of Shojin.

Like, damage block is completely fine as a mechanic.

Having that damage block scale significantly with AD is problematic.
