Patch 8.16 and the future of this game

While im not really that good at the game, i still had a urge to talk about this. Im really not liking the way the game is going with this patch.

I understand that the damage in this game was way too high and needed some adjusments, but i think they just went overboard. Nerfing 2 damage keystones and 4 whole damage runes and removing the synergy Duskblade has with stormrazor is way too harsh.

While thunderlords was a consistently good keystone in the old mastery tree's, now its getting outclassed by almost every new keystones. Which means that turning electrocute back to thunderlords will make it one of the most underwhelming keystones in this game.

Think about other champions like e.g.He isn't in a good spot right now, but he still uses Aery, Scorch and sometimes celerity. Which means that he will be even worse with these changes, and so goes for a lot of champions that used multiple of the nerfed runes.

What im kinda mad about is the way Riot handled this situation. Assassins have been really good for a mediocore about of time now, but they are getting the fastest harsh class nerf in recent memory. Tanks, Adc and Ardent was allowed to dominate for months and seasons while only seeing small nerfs. Riot tok their time fixing tanks, ardent and adcs, but the second assassins comes up in the meta they are already hard nerfing the class.

What im really scared of is how this meta is gonna become. While its true that the game has too much damage now, its still one of the most fun metas we have had in a while. Games are shorter, yet filled with a lot more action than recent seasons. With these and future changes however, this will probably change a lot. Scaling crit adcs are coming back, tanks are getting buffed, assassins and somewhat mages are getting nerfed. Im honestly afraid that we are going to turn back to the old "farm for 20 min tank/crit adc meta", making the game slow paced again is one of the worst thing that could happend to it. It would make every laning phase a boring farm fest and make the adc's being the deciding factor in this game again.

While i don't expect anyone to agree with me, i would really hope you thinked about it. What meta do you want?
