Frozen Mallet on ADC?

I just played a game of Caitlyn, and I was happy to see that she's still cruise-control to win lane. At this point I was -stupidly- ahead, I'm talking like a full item over their adc and 7/2/something. I kept building like I usually build ADCs, but I noticed I had some trouble sticking to their mobile targets, such as Lucian.

Now I'm thinking, if you are this ahead on certain adcs like Caitlyn, would it be beneficial to buy a Frozen Mallet? Or would Furor be enough sticking power?

its ok for kiting, but its bad in terms of DPS. other items are just better for damage, even zephyr has more use to an adc than FM. and tankyness? banshees veil or GA to take a hit would just be flat out better.

You've got a point, I guess Furor would be enough. As for tankiness, I really didn't need it. I could practically 1v5, almost accidentally got a pentakill by simply walking into a skirmish that turned into a big fight and shooting whatever was closest. Their positioning was shit and their focus was even worse.

In any other situation I wouldn't have even considered FM to be a possibility, but because people kept barely escaping I thought of picking it up.

Frozen Mallet is pretty cost inefficient for a finished item. I really like to build it on Vayne top, but there's really nothing that makes mallet's passive better than just getting a phage.

Get item 3071 instead, it is better for kiting, damage, and build path, all while being less expensive and offering a hefty armor shred. There is never a reason to get item 3022 over anymore.
