They've stated that that kind of QOL is coming up soon. They'd said they were experimenting with Gold outlines to the HP bars.

They have a plan for fixing this problem. The health bars will be outlined in gold. An example can the seen in the new Ryze champion spotlight https://youtu.be/qNk6uNCLuDo?t=409

Imo that looks overly distracting, I think white would work better.

It's super important info, and gold is the traditional colour of invulnerability so they wanted to keep it consistent. I think if it was white people would think their client wasn't loading the particles properly^^"

I mean that would how it'd be at first... Then players would learn.

And I do think the indicators should be visible and important, but that gold looks overly distracting. White provides a clean short to the point visual clarity to invulnerability.

I just thought of something else: White is also the traditional colour of shields, and I'm not sure if the White health bar would pass the colourblind test either. I'm not sure I'd be able to tell a Taric-ulted Kench from a Kench using E :(

I mean you took a picture from 2014... and there are few champions in the game with invulnerablity anyway. the champions that do have a huge indicator already like taric calling down god on his whole team or how lissandra creates a huge visual around her basically saying 'Im invincible bitch" now with champions like tryndamere and fizz you should be paying close attention to their indicators because of how easily you can die to them if you give them the chance. you dont have to pay attention, but it would be wise.
