"First time" does not necessarily equate to bad(Unless it's Yasuo. Or it's ranked.)
Disclaimer: Yasuo was a Joke, Ranked was not. Don't pick first time champs in ranked. Don't drink and drive.
I mean hey, picked up Asol, jumped into a normal, enemy picks Zed first, I pick Asol after, expecting to get dumpstered and was ready to just play super passive, what could possibly go wrong? Teammate immediately swears at me once for picking into a bad match up, not suspecting I was a first timer(Don't tell people this is a general rule, but there will be people who look up you pre-game and immediately share the juicy "first time XXXX GG!")
12-2-5 KDA, 60 CS difference, 8K damage difference...
And I won.
Probably because I play champions who have similar play styles in one way or another, and the same is for other people, "First time" is not bad for say someone who plays Ezreal and Corki going into Lucian, or for my case, Talon(Roam) and Orianna(Balls) into Asol. Match making puts us against people of similar skill levels calculated by our performance in game and the results of such, meaning we are against humans too, not suddenly omnipotent gods who will crush a tiny ant, we can't suddenly lose game skills just cause we changed champions, we can still roam, ward and do stuff in the respective classes.
Don't judge a book by a cover. Don't judge a player because he is new at a champion. Don't be the jerk who instantly becomes the largest pain in the ass that league has ever been blessed by because someone may not perform to your standards. Everyone needs to have first games, might as well suck it up, cause you do it too(and may not have beginners luck like I do.) and at least respect them.
