Instead of First Tower kill gold...
Can we just make the game more snow-balley (is that a word?) by increasing the number of "charge up" style masteries like Bounty Hunter? The kind where you have to meet an in game goal to derive the full benefit of the mastery.
The reason I mention this, and I don't know if other people feel the same way, are that charge up masteries have to be built up by doing specific in game tasks and thus scale well over the game and give the leading team a little bit of an edge for using them instead of just giving out flat gold incentives for killing the first tower (also helping to alleviate having any more reasons to camp the bot lane).
Strength of the ages during it's time was probably too strong, but the mini game of charging it up helped to make the mastery strong, but not overbearing. Same with Bounty Hunter, it's not going to give you that same output as Double Edged Sword unless it's fully charged up; helping already snowballing teams keep a lead, but not outright take over the game with free gold.
In particular, can we get more masteries like this in the Resolve tree. I would love to see some charge up masteries that do things like give you extra AR/MR or damage reduction based on the amount of damage you have taken in a game, or the amount of healing done, or assists you have. Veteran scars especially would be better if it gave percentage HP increase based off whether you complete a specific goal.
The best part is this way if you really hate mini games with your masteries you can always Opt out of them. You don't have to take any mastery that charges up unless you want to.
Yes or No? I may be way off base here, but just wanted to throw it out there to the boards and see what other people are thinking.
