@Riot, Why does RNG affect your 'Mastery' of a Champion.

Need champion essence for Mastery 6/7, which is complete RNG to get. Why though.

Exactly, still RNG lol. Since Hextech Crafting came out, I've only gotten 3 champion's out of it. And I've opened a ton of chests.

I've only gotten skins. I never unlocked any of them, they were all for champs I didn't have or ever played.

They want to be able to put shards (or essence, i don't remember) in shop. not there yet

Its not RNG tho. You get shards from getting S's in games. So you have to do well to earn it. I see where you're coming from, but its not completely RNG.

Yes you get the chests and what not from getting S ranks in games, but you can only get 1 box from a specific champion per year, which leads to another thing, why do I need to get a good rank with other champions, to prove my Mastery with a different champion.

And even then you're not guaranteed to get the champion essence. It's just a very poorly planned system.

You'll be able to buy champ shards for IP later, so no blue essence required.

Considering how RNG decides how good ur teammates are and directly affects the difficulty in getting S-rank and mastery points in general, I don't see how the 50/50esque chance of getting blue essence is much different. Complain about how it costs blue essence and not about a basic function found in video games.
