Am i playing bard right or is it just him

I love bard he has the coolest play style i have seen yet (among supports). Yet when i find my self roaming placing shrines and ganking lanes. I always end up behind level. Is that me playing wrong or should riot buff the exp on relics? Cause my play style is this (i get a lot on in game comments for this): -start with W and head toward red/blue -after first relics spawn place a shrine behind mid turret pick up a relic and place one behind bot turret then get the relic -then the rest of lanning phase slip away (keep 2 shrines behind bot turret) and collect shrines while keeping tabs on mid and bot lane

in team fight i TRY to ult the enemy team with out hitting my allies then positioning to Q the carry closest to me. This ends badly to often. Any one have a trick to target his ulty.

You don't have to collect the chimes right after they spawn. Wait till there's bunch of them and then go collect them when your lane allows it. Spend as much time in lane as possible in the early game. Collect only the chimes that are nearby and do something useful while collecting them (ward). The chimes last for 10 minutes and turn orange in the minimap when they are 30 seconds from expiring.

This^. This is exactly how I tried to play bard In the PBE. But yeah, Bard isn't 89% roam. He's around 50/50 so you'll want to roam after a bunch of chimes spawn. Hope that helps.
