Yas wall

I am sure this thread exists but let me just pop another one on there. Edit: btw remember that there ARE ONLY 3 WALLS IN THE GAME I CANT COMPARE IT TO MUCH (unless you want me to compare it to aniva)

Braums wall Pros

  1. stops projectiles
  2. increases movement speed
  3. move able
  4. low mana cost

Cons

  1. still takes CC
  2. only fully blocks first ability/attack
  3. not that large in reference to other shields
  4. one way

Yasuos wall Pros stops projectiles large at max lvl 2 way shield blocks CC yasuo takes no dmg from it

Cons high cool down

^ that look wrong to any one else in one of the lol videos posted around the time braum came out riot said yasuos was was for him not really his team. Yes it is far more op then braums wall and twice as large with one con to it. yas is already a champ that will NEVER not be in the meta so i recommend we employ 3 changes:

  1. .5 delay on shield cast this means that yas cant block those last second projectiles and will take a little more planning
  2. Make the wall brake able when it takes to much damage
  3. make it one way

i have only played yas a few times and i doubt this post will change any thing but i think its more fair. As it is yas is one of the most mobile champs in game i say it this way cause it wont really change him much. he will still do mountains of damage like always and still have his giant shield this way though he must choose to block a mf ult or a Cassiopeia E.

Cons:

  • can be terspassed by melee initiators without risks
  • can be avoided walking to the side
  • can't be dragged anywhere

Also you are comparing a tank to an assa.

while i might be inclined to agree yasuo's wall is a little too strong for him, i downvoted this thread for comparing yasuo and braum. two champions that have absolutely nothing in common.

Here's a con for Yasuo's wall; Yasuo cannot actually stop anyone from walking around/through it.

Unlike Braum, who has the constant threat of a slow, stun, and possibly a knockup, Yasuo does not have any guaranteed or immediate CC to keep people from just avoiding the immobile thing. If he manages full Q stacks before using Wind Wall, he was given time and resources to set up a perfect scenario. Which, like any scenario where you give someone perfect resources and setup time, is your own fault.

Cons (as some were noted by Stars Shaper):

  • Not effective to melee fighters like Tryn/Fiora.
  • Only blocks one direction, while Braum is able to block somewhat wider than Yasuo's, meaning enemies can just walk around it to counter it.
  • Wrong placement of windwall = Huge defence disadvantage
  • The nerfs from his Windwall passive, which is to boost his Shield passive by dashing through minions, makes it highly undependable in skirmishes.

And why you shouldn't compare Yasuo's windwall to others like:

Braum - He is a tank, so it's invalid. Anivia Azir - Both blocks movements, not attacks, so it's also invalid.

Y'all are missing the point that he is trying to make. He is simply making a comparison to other abilities similar to the wall. There have been many videos showing Yas wall blocking shots from the side or not even in near front area of his wall.

And as far as the whole melee champ thing goes... Both are the same weakness anyone can walk up to Braum. The difference is that Braum takes one major reduced damage blow while Yas has his shield (scaling at that) to protect him. It makes no sense to give him huge amounts of defense with a huge scaling offense. I could understand if he his wall and dash but no shield. But to have all 3? That's a bit much don't you think?
