But now I can say, I hate new Akali with a passion rivalling my hate for Yasuo/Teemo/Riven. Balanced? Maybe. But in lane, totally uninteractive because she auto wins every trade with her shroud and heals up later. She doesn't even have to risk anything in a bad matchup because she just throws Q safely from a distance to farm, and you can't do anything to bully her out of lane.

Then when she wears YOU down, come 6 you can just let your turret down because you gonna get your ass dived with 0 consequences. She literally 100-0'd me with just an amp tome and long sword at 6, and that was after I killed her once at level 4. If anything, this is Zed V2 in terms of uninteractivity in lane.

Old Akali could at least be bullied out of lane early to shut her down, even if her post 6 was somewhat retarded as well.

Just pick Sion and give her the business. Most bulky champs with an aoe move can just stand in the middle of the smoke, pop the move, and walk out for a won trade. (Darius, Sion, garen, etc.) She is slippery but you just need to have a pick who can punish her all in.

I won't say she isn't a pain in the ass though. You're totally right about that. It is very hard to leverage a lead against her due to her ability to simply avoid trading and farm up and heal with q and shroud. Something should be done to tone it down.
