So Yes, Draven Was Too Good

But I personally think that the nerfs went way overboard and changed nothing. His passive was the only thing that made him good because with it he could hit his late game much faster than anyone else. You didn't make him less oppressive, the counter to him is the exact same as it was, just you have to do even less of it now.

A: Draven doesn't die to a gank or his lane and gets rolling B: Draven gets ganked twice (instead of three times) and is completely worthless forever.

His passive should be reworked to make it more interesting. "Catch a bunch of axes while farming and then get a kill" isn't super impressive. I would propose that there are specific feats that are difficult to pull off that give Draven more gold permanantly on a kill. That way, he can still ramp into late game faster than other adcs but his gameplay doesn't get boiled down to "did I get ganked a fuck ton?"

Idk, I'm just ranting at this point.

How can a nerf be both overboard and change nothing?

If it was overboard, it would have a drastic change on him. If it changed nothing.... well then it changed nothing.

When I say change nothing, I mean that they didn't add anything meaningful to combat his power.

Draven NEEDS his passive to be useful, so his "counterplay" was just throw as many bodies as it takes until he dies. After the nerf, you still just throw bodies at him until he dies, but now you do it once or twice and he's just done. So instead of adding some actual skill based counterplay, they just made him...worse.

I've always disliked his passive execution (pun intended) wise. I like the idea, but the way it's implemented is pretty boring and cancerous

It added some counterplay to him by properly shutting him down if you kill him before he gets a chunk of free money. Because that was pretty hard to do before. He still has the same strengths. It didn't take away power honestly
