Games feel more coin flippy than ever

I don't know, ever since bot lane was "reverted" it seems that the coinflip has returned. Prior to it felt like games could be controlled but now it just seems that whichever bot is slightly more ahead wins the game.

Anyone else?

games are coinflippy because only bot matters anymore, and you aren't a botlaner

play adc and enjoy the freelo, if you're better than enemy bot ofc

That's correct.

Coin-flip meta it is again. I called it back when they made the changes.

dumb riot

I find wins/losses right now are more heavily driven by assassin mids. Namely...... Zed. If he can't get fed mid, he can always just use shadows to cross map quickly, and kill someone else. And once the player learns his kit, it's not hard at all, and has very little counterplay, since he's more mobile than almost any other assassin, and has more damage packed into one skill than any other assassin. His Energy pacing also perfectly matches a roam playstyle, because every time he reaches a lane, he'll be 200 Energy and ready to ult/etc.

Every time I mid vs one, he can't kill me, so he just avoids me. Roams bot/top, but my bot/tops don't listen to pings 30-40 sec ahead of time. They freely feed, and then all I can do is use turrets to occasionally kill him once we cross paths again.

Bots can carry, but all it takes is a solid CC to kill most of them. Mid Assassins......particularly a Zed, cannot as easily.

The coin-flip nature of this game has been going on since season 8. Just keeps spiking worse with various patches. It used to be easier to carry if you were good even if you had a bad team. Now they made it harder for a single champ to carry for most champs except a few meta champs. I heard a lot of people saying that was good that one person couldn't carry so easy anymore, but in reality it created a situation where it is no longer about a good player winning it, but a bad player losing it.

They made it so that if you are good, you can't force the win anymore, but if you get a troll then you are almost guaranteed to lose. So no matter how good you are, its all a roll of the dice for whether you get a bad player or not.

I dont think its cause of the botlane changes lmao, its been coinflippy for awhile now because somehow you can get games where there are 5 Gold 2s vs a couple S2s and some G4s

Bot has nothing to do with this. When bot was shit it was who had the most fed jax, irelia or darius. Now that adcs are back there is actually ways to kill those monstrosities.

Not replying directly to op, but to others who claim bot lane rule the game.

As to op - imo it's mostly because one braindead can ruin a game alone where one good player can't win alone.

Better bot and jungler win imo. Even if your bot gets a lead it means nothing if your jungler ints it away or doesn't counter gank.

I think Fiora needs a revert compared to bot lane. At least I could 1v9 with her.

Games don't feel anymore coinflippy meta wise, though if you are close to the elo you belong at they will always feel that way. Especially when playing around a bottom teir div like d4, where many of the players are less motivated then they were b4 hitting d4. Sometimes ya gotta change up strats to more consistently be out performing your counterpart if you find yourself stagnating.

Have a look-see at Mobalytics.com which gives a really in-depth analysis of your game play and how to improve upon it.

For you, it had this to say as a summary:

We detect you are a Hoarder because you’re getting a lot of resources but you’re not able to convert it into anything meaningful for your team during fights. It’s important to learn how to farm and you’re doing that correctly. However, you need to be able to contribute to your team in a meaningful way during fights if you are going to be where the team’s money is going.

For me, it had this to say as a summary:

We detect you as a Tunnel Vision player due to your disregard for the location of other players on the map. If you’re going to play forward and dangerous in the early game then you need to learn how to minimize the risk so it does not backfire in your face and put you behind before you even had a chance to play.

Games seem more about jungle/roaming difference than anything else.

Shiroyashayami4/6/2019, 4:54:24 PM1 votes

Because jng can have 20 kills and still lose. We have some impact on the game but even support has more. In jng it is kinda a coin flip. Unless u play against an idiot that can't vertical jungle.

heroikc4/6/2019, 5:16:05 PM1 votes

Nah, it's more of an issue with jungle.

Yup, ADC's cried their way into the lane that determines the outcome of a game.

This game is all about which jungler gets their bot lane ahead.

The fact that a duo lane can have individual members which outscale single laners is stupid to begin with. The power spikes of ADC's should be pushed back at least to make mid laners actually feel like they have some impact prior to the later game phases.

All the midlaners that are thriving are either mage assassins, assassins, or super high range high aoe CC mages like oriana/syndra because that's what you need to threaten enemy adc's.

This game went back to being a game of eliminate the ADC first and win TF.

Here’s how you determine what teams wins.

Look at champions picked. Look at tier list

Team with most s tier picks win.

It’s sad that it’s devolved this much.
