Resolve Key-Stones - Ideas

I want to create a discussion on what kind of changes we would actually want to see made to resolve keystones. There is often talk of them being trash with very few useful suggestions or solutions given, other than "buff plz". Bond of Stone is probably not as bad as people think - its main issues lie in satisfaction and a lack of involved gameplay. Meanwhile, Grasp of the Undying has been nerfed to crap because... reasons.

As such, the following are my suggestions, however, I am primarily posting them as a starting point for further ideas.

Bond of Stone: When a nearby ally takes damage from an enemy champion, shield them for X% of your maximum health for X duration, but take damage equal to X% of the damage dealt to the shield. Xs cooldown (per allied champion?).

Explanation: Bond of Stone is supposed to be for tank supports and peel-oriented top laners and junglers. This iteration pushes it closer to tank supports, and gives them a keystone largely focused around laning. It allows them to fulfil the fantasy that Bond of Stone is supposed to create in that you protect your ally from damage, whilst having windows of power and counterplay that creates actual gameplay like that seen with Courage of the Colossus and Thunderlord's Decree.

The Issues: This keystone would be very low agency, with its effects based around your opponent playing around it. This is an issue that will usually be the case with these protective keystones as to be proactive they would have to be related to an active ability of the champion. Additionally, it could become oppressive in the laning phase in a manner similar to what is sometimes seen with Yasuo's shield.

Grasp of the Undying: After being in combat with champions for 3 seconds, deal damage and heal for 4% of your maximum health as true damage.

The Issues: It loses its identity as a laning keystone, however, Courage of the Colossus fulfils this role for the majority of lane-bully champions such as Darius and Renekton. It no longer allows you to take it to help mitigate a weaker laning phase, as some champions like Maokai did. It has the potential to recreate the "endless Courage of the Colossus" duels, but I think this is a necessary side effect of Grasp of the Undying being a viable keystone.

Hi,

I apologise for the following bad english :D

I have to agree. Colossus is completely OP In comparison to other Keystones. Just take a look at Riven or Skarner. And on the other side they plan to nerf Thunderlords.

Btw. I think there should be an Attack Speed Keystone ^^ Something like a mini Rageblade or just straight up Attackspeed. Many Champions that are in a bad spot right now would benefit from it.
