why your jungler doesn't gank for you 101

I'm drawing back to when I was a jungle main in season 5 but this still holds true imo ^.^

  1. you feed... more specifically you gave multiple early kills(whether they were from solo deaths or enemy ganks) prior to them hitting 6 (however multiple early deaths is the key not the junglers level)... when you do this there is a good chance a jungle gank will prove totally useless or the enemy will simply double kill you...since they will probably have ult where neither of you do and they will have a significant item advantage

  2. you flame them... for literally any reason... sometimes we ignore it however most do not and will not gank for you

  3. you dont ward... no pink no gank is a good rule of thumb (as a jungler i almost always pink bot lane myself so I know I have a good gank path)... again this is more about you not helping your jungler any so they're not gonna help you any...feed them information key ability usage and if the enemy warded

  4. your pushed...simple as that if you consistently shove your lane they wont gank... help your jungler gank... if their clear is going towards your lane let the enemy push so they can gank

such as this you're top and i just gave mid blue... and you shove your lane... I'm not ganking I'm gonna finish my clear recall and go to my red side and look for drag or mid/bot gank

DISCLAIMER: this is SUPER general and OBVIOUSLY the state of the game you're playing in will dictate jungle paths /actions but these are good things to think about when you're a laner

Edit: as a laner you need to give the jungler a reason to gank rather than just expecting them to, which I personally try to do as a top lane main

As a top lane main I try to give my jungler reasons not to gank my lane so I can keep it all to myself :^)

If only every laner was like you... sigh...

its true, when someone just because a liability, it makes your job harder especially when trying to assist them since they already arent prepared to face the opponent being fed. Its a struggle situation

WHen I jungle I ask myself," who is actually worthy of receiving a gank, and why do they deserve one?"

yep laners need to give the jungler a reason to gank rather than just expecting them to

I always get stuck with the salty top laners who expect a gank every minute. Its so selfish

that's why I started maining top I realized they were the reason I lost most of my games, and most jungle mains were around as good as me where I was better than most tops ^.^

  1. he is just crappy jungler and doesn't know what to do

Crappy junglers happen just as often as crappy laners.

yes and this isnt a guide on how to jungle its a guide on how to get your jungler to gank/ why they wont based on your actions

i.e this is assuming your jungler is competent

Zero Skill Tank1 votes

Your jungler is just as competent as your laner, that's how matchmaking works, modulo dynamic queue but that's at best difference of a tier.

True, but this thread is geared toward laners who don't understand why they're not getting ganks.

It's not merely calling them crappy, it's just pointing out behaviors that some people may not realize they're doing. The "no pink, no gank" line is decent advice, since many midlaners forget to buy pink wards, and has no basis on whether or not they're a good laner.

Incredibly defensive response there.

It's not defensive response, it's a fact. There are 4 posts a week from jungle players who put all the blame at laners, meanwhile jungle is the most influential lane of them all.

It's a defensive response when the first thing you state is "Well there are bad junglers too!"

Instead of saying "noob jungler gank my lane" say "top lane F and no ward in river, easy kill." Also, more importantly, if the top laner then wards river before the jungler gets there ping the jungler off. If a jungler wastes his time trying to gank over and over and every time that area is warding what it indicates to me is you aren't paying attention to when you lane opponent is warding which means you probably aren't that competent of a player.

Instead of saying "gg enemy jungler ganked me 5 times" say "jg is camping top, create a play bot lane, steal his jungle or get a dragon." Just because your lane is getting camped doesn't mean the game is over. If you can play safe and ensure the enemy jungler wastes his time trying to gank you (i.e. not dying to ganks) then your jungler will get really far ahead and if he is competent can create a lot of pressure elsewhere on the map.

I always try to avoid asking for ganks, trying to play safe champions with kits worth for defense. So my jungler can do something better like... Let's say... stacks his devourer... gank other lanes... Do drake... Etc...

Sometimes I just try to handle on my own and freeze the lane.

Bc I explicitly don't need his help to win my lane

I read this as a guide for what to do when my jungler doesn't gank for me.

Number 1 reason i do not gank a lane, They did not assist me or gave me shit for where i started. Most games are start at red buff if i am blu side. I have reasons for doing so.

I can level 2 gank mid if it looks good or i can level 3 gank bot lane before my first back. the other reason is i hate getting invaded at my red when i do it 2nd so it is a counter measure.

I can not tell you how many people give me shit and try to tell me where i am going to start my jungle route. I have had people take the large double as a troll when i start red. Then they say bad jungler when I ignore their lane.

Its almost like cause and effect.

I can almost tell if i have a good bot lane in teh first 90 sec now. Do they give me shit for my start location? Do they sit by their tower? Are they all chatting about X. If all no then they are usually decent. Sadly it is very rare for the bot lane to pass that simple list.

Ummm wut? So unless your lanes are completely silent pre minion spawn, they are rubbish?

Why do i want them making talking in all chat about Naruto, What is happening in on tumbler, or anything else? If they are typing in all chat odds are their heads are not in the game.

So unless they are silent or talking about the game, then yeah they tend to be bad. People are not able to just switch gears.

I never understood the need to fill the chat for the first 90 sec. You can be doing other things in the game. Laying down wards, looking for out of position enemy to kill or blow sums. People are not isolated on their side of the map.
