Jax Calculations

OK, so Jax at level 18, with Trinity Force, Hextech Gunblade, and three masteries: Double Edged Sword, Natural Talent, and Thunderlords. I'm gonna assume Jax only procs Trinity Force once during this combo although it is possible to proc 2. (The combo is going to be Q + Hextech Gunblade + AA + W AA, E AA R proc. Thunderlords will proc during this combo, and your ult will proc once during this combo. You can proc everything in this this combo in about ~3 seconds most of the time.

Jax has 119 base AD, gets 75 AD from masteries and items, 95 AP from masteries and items.

Jax's basic kit has

780 + 190% AP + 150% bonus AD when you hit every skill and proc ultimate. Add a trinity force proc, Thunderlords Proc, and Hextech Gunblade Active, and 3 AAs and you get

1210 + 200% Base Damage + 230% AP + 180% Bonus AD + 300% total AD

Plug in numbers

1210 + (2*119) + (2.3 * 95) + (1.8 * 75 ) + (3 * 194) = 2383.5 damage

Add in double edged sword damage

(2383.5 * 1.03) =

2455.005 damage

2455.005 with just two items in around 3 seconds (You will want an extra item like Bloodrazor for a bit more A.Speed as well)

I haven't calculated how much exactly is physical damage and how much is magic damage, but there is more physical damage with this combo than magic damage (I'm guessing around 70% physical, 30% magic damage

Goodbye squishies. I've begun liking Thunderlord's more, because Jax does ramp up over time in a fight, but it helps him do a ton of damage before ramping up, and after he's ramped up he'll do a lot of damage quickly without Thunderlords/Hextech Gunblade active.

Ok?

If this is a nerf Jax thread, what are resistances? What is building HP?

If this is a why don't people pick him more? thread, maybe they just aren't confident on him

It's not. There are 2 items in this build that you need to do that damage in under three seconds. I was just calculating his damage with 2 items. As a Jax main, I don't want Jax nerfed lol.

It's not. There are LITERALLY 2 items in this build that you need to do that damage in under three seconds. I was just calculating his damage with 2 items. As a Jax main, I don't want Jax nerfed lol.

My full build is normally Bloodrazor + Trinity + Hextech Gunblade + Spirit Visage + Ninja Tabi + Titanic Hydra.

HP and resistances. 2038 base HP at level 18. I take 218 HP in runes and masteries in my yellows. 1200 HP from items.

3456 HP. Let's assume I also buy an elixir. 3756 health.

Now, let's calculate our armor and MR.

78 at level 18 + 30 from Ninja Tabi for armor, and 53.4 MR at level 18 + 55 MR from visage

108 armor, and 108.4 MR.

My ult at level 18 grants 70 + 50% bonus AD armor and 70 + 20% AP MR.

That, with this build, is 125 armor and 89 MR.

That means for 8 seconds you can have 233 armor and 197 MR, with 3756 HP.

Hey look, there are my resistances and HP, because I can build more than 2 items!!

I normally also take 10% CDR in runes, so with Visage and Trinity I'm at 40% CDR. At max level without passive stacks you have** ~1.7 A.Speed**

Now let's calculate my damage with the same combo, except Hydra's AD, passive and active as well..

So, 2629.655 damage + 12.36% of enemies max HP + 13.39% of my maximum HP in damage

2629.655 + (.1339 * 3756 ) = 2629.655 + 502.9284 =

3132.5834 + 12.36% of the enemies HP in damage

I think this is totally fine if you can reach your late game as Jax. I'm not saying nerf him. Just because I am calculating damage doesn't mean I want a champion to be nerfed. Jesus.

It's not a "Why don't People Pick Him More" or "Nerf Jax Thread." It's just for people who don't want to do the calculations themselves. Trinity and Gunblade are 2 common items on Jax.

I like fervor more because you are going to delete squishies as jax anyway, might aswell maximize your 1v1ing potential against common lane matchups like Irelia

Yea, Fevor is good too. I like Strength of Ages too. But I mainly like Thunderlords early game so that I can do short trades and longer trades (I'm normally jungle Jax). Really helps with snowballing too.
