Ignoring the fact that OP seems to be on an alt or lying. I find that the biggest difference between plat and diamond players is their ability to carry. I have seen many a plat player reset into silver or gold and never be able to make it back to plat. One of the more extreme cases, my buddy specifically played over 2k games a few years ago and couldn't make it out of silver when he got reset from plat 3.

If that is the case, he is already gold 3 (almost gold 2)... You are going to play against plat players as long as your mmr isn't bad.

Well, that is on their main role though. If Op were autofilled, that off role might have been way lower than his main.

I have Smurfs in 80% of my games and it isn't fun. No matter if they are on enemy or my side. It's just boring. Games are just "who will get the smurf/autofill" nowadays.
