As a botlane player, games where i don't play with/vs Lucian are a rarity
I mean, i'm not saying he's broken (maybe he is? probably he's too mobile and fervor synergises too well with his passive, but that would be it), i'm just saying he is chocking other options to the point where i rejoice every time i don't play vs him/with him, not because he's necessarily oppressive (he surely becomes that after a BF), but simply because it's quite sad to see a huge part of the roster having next to no play just because one champion has an absurd pickrate, thus crowding out other picks.
I mean, on plat+ he has http://champion.gg/statistics/#?roleSort=ADC&sortBy=general.playPercent&order=descend 35.79% pickrate, far worse than what Vayne used to have, and people used to complain about Vayne a lot.
The higher you climb, the higher the playrate rises: on diamond he has a ridiculous http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/champions/stats/adc/diamond 46.5%, really an alarming level in my opinion.
Should we nerf a champion just because he's popular?
Probably not, but he's clearly too safe as a pick and got no downside whatsoever.
He used to be gated by cooldowns, he used to have a bad ultimate and he used to have bad range, now he goes Reaver then RFC and this nullifies the range and CDR problem, and then the ult got hard buffed too.
