I think Syndra's E base damage is a bit too high. Syndra is very easy too play if you max E as second skills and win the lane. If you try to max W after Q, she is more hard to play. I think she is actually best midlaner because she dominate easily, no counterplay and out-damage you in trade.

ILoveTiramisu1 votesXerath is very similar and his stun deals less damage. Syndra's stun need a dark sphere(-), can stun more enemy(+), high base damage(+), ignore minions posiion(+), undodgeble. I like playing syndra, but dont like play against her.

She did have more noticeable counter play before riot removed silences from mid laners (Kassadin, LeBlanc, Talon), but she still goes even with a lot of champions, it really depends on skill, not just pick and win.
