and the Heart of the Tempest 
. Shen, the Eye of Twilight, is supposed to be the one who judges and leads. Though I don't know if the Kinkou Order exists in the new lore.

When you read his lore you think "This guy is basically Hitler, he must have a lot of battlefield control or displacement abilities".
Then you look at his aesthetics and think "This guy is a bird mage, he does bird magic, it's also kinda evil, evil bird magic".
Then you -play- him and realize "This guy is a vampire, all about that lifesteal and sustain".
What do birds have to do with tatctical battlefield control OR vampirism?, his aesthetics don't fit his kit, and his kit doesn't fit his lore, and his aesthetics don't fit his lore either.

Hard4Hamsters1 votesI actually think that he has a much more "tactical" playstyle without his Ultimate, namely his W is somewhat difficult to hit given its delay for the root, but using your Q you can slow an enemy on a tether so that they have to make a decision on whether to break the tether leading to your W or stay within the tether and avoid getting rooted.
But yeah. It really just turns into "I'm a fucking invincible bird drain tank! Burst me down immediately or perish!" after he hits lvl6.

LadyRenly6 votesHis main damage comes from his E actually, which comes with a damage amp. His R is his primary sustain, and can kite poor fools around until E and W come off cooldown again. But I guess its his main damage in a burst sense. Since R is a toggle on low CD I guess it is mostly his r in that sense
