Lost LP for a Win

My last game that I played, I received the win but still managed to lose LP for it. I was 4/1/3, and managed to have my ISP go down to an outage for a few hours immediately following the final push of the game. I'm a bit bitter about this because I lost 21 LP while sitting at 98 LP and the deserved win would have put me into promos.

I made a ticket about this, hoping to get this fixed since I was playing and contributing to a large portion of the win. I should technically be in promos right now. Although, on the FINAL push of the game, I disconnected and managed to lose 21 LP instead of reaching the promos I earned.

I think it's a good improvement :

The people who had a bad game (losing team) get LP so they are happy.
The people who won and then had a good game lose LP, but they are happy because they won.

I had that happen before and sent a ticket about it but unfortunately they said in the response that there is nothing they can do about it. The LP system is locked so there can be no abuse of it (i.e. Staff raising their own LP without earning it).

So kind of just have to live with the outcome unfortunately and it sucks :/

If this is true, this is EXTREMELY unfortunate; especially if I actually did lose the mmr.

The better question is how did the Soraka go 9/0/9 when her other games aren't that great.

The Soraka mid blew my mind. I was ready for a bad game, but it turned out to be one of the easiest, quickest games of my life. Thanks for the positive feedback, I appreciate it.

OMG This was crazy. I was in this game and the Mid Soraka Vs Yasuo blow my mind, but the Yas was awful anyways. Soraka got first blood at level 1 LOL.

That's assuming he wins two in a row. That's a pretty big deal; losing one means winning one extra.

Wouldn't have been a large deal to me if I gained MMR and ended up losing single digit LP. But considering I DC'd on the FINAL push of the game AND participated in the final teamfight and every team fight prior to the outage, I'm a bit salty.

Are you sure that the MMR actually did go up? I'm not sure how the LP would decay but the MMR would be on the rise.

Usually you don't lose mmr. Dodging games for example doesn't decrease your MMR as well, only your current LP. So i think you just lost the 20 LP but not mmr points.

I hope this is the case, but it's just difficult to say since there's no way of actually knowing. Implementing LP was their way of hiding this. Makes me wish the match said "Win/Loss Prevented" instead of Victory just so that I know that the mmr was untouched.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it displays as a team win but the MMR and LP both decrease. Which is extremely unfortunate because I clearly deserved the win seeing as it ended on the push I dc'd during.

The OP.GG mmr is based off of the other people in his league "Karma's Commanders." OP could literally play no ranked games and it would still fluctuate based on them moving up or down.

That's what I was confused about too. I checked Op.gg too because if I gained mmr I won't even let the LP bother me, but knowing I should be a game away from the next division is frustrating when I'm now 3 games away with no evidence that I actually gained mmr.

But when I checked, I had no way of actually knowing if I had more or less to know if it changed up or down seeing as I don't check my op.gg regularly until I hit my continuous win sprees.

I hate the way this works. I too have had experiences where i carried my lanes as jungler then have my pc crash. My team able to hold the 4 v 5 and when i return i play my best to carry the final team fights all just to lose the LP. What this system is saying is if you disconnect a while and reconnect, don't bother winning because you lose LP regardless. This needs a fix.
