Neeko is surprisingly fun to play against

Now this is just impressions I got from 2 games against her, but I actually find Neeko kinda enjoyable to play against.

One minute I see a low health Jhin, then I go in to get him, but it’s a full health Neeko that’s now attempting to burst me. Or I see Warwick coming up from river while I was in lane, but I know how to deal with him so I start retreating and mentally preparing myself to deal with him. Then the real Warwick ambushes me from the bushes from red top tower (my side), while the fake one didn’t do anything and went back to mid.

I might be sounding sarcastic, but I’m actually having a good time because I know I got big brained. It wasn’t because she dealt and a massive amount of damage, or because she built a certain item. I got outplayed because she outsmarted me, and her team played around it. I can’t get mad at that.

Edit: WOW. I leave the boards for a few days to take exams, and this blew up.

Edit 2: apparently I pissed some people off with my post. I didn't think this would actually blow up like this, but I think I'm aloud to enjoy the game how I want, and say whatever I want about the character. So screw you.

Neeko is everything leblanc was supposed to be, a champion who confuses and tricks her opponents.

my only problem with her is the damage her ult does and the stun length. i'd want either of those toned down.

Honestly I feel like she's going to do either one of two things:

She's going to abused to shit by pros and get nerfed into nonexistence.
Become Shaco 2.0 where no one ever plays her but when someone does, if they are on your team they feed, and on the enemy team they are galaxy brain gods

Honestly, I'm not going to say she's EXTREMELY balanced or anything, but she's not out of place. Her scalings and whatnot surprisingly line up with that of other burst ap characters (something I doubt many people who complain about damage on a particular champ check), I'm just scared her insane potential for team play will get her pro abused and destroyed ;-;

I agree, playing Camille today and i saw my lane opponent with like 1% health under turret. I E dived him and guess what? Full health neeko root + ults me. I was so impressed i wasn't even tilted

Pulling off an escape with your W is also quite satisfying. I'm sure we're going to see some highlights of people just toying with others.

Im okay with that play pattern minus the attemping to burst you part thats not an assassin its a mage. chunk maybe but full health bursting shouldnt happen

Meh, the fact that she can't copy champions exactly makes it easier to tell if that champion is real or not.

Like for jhin the fake will have too much attack speed and never reloads, any stacking effect champions have won't stack ether.

Junglers like Camille are going to want to use their gap closers, if they don't use it that means don't even get close since it's a neeko likely preparing ult.

The list goes on, the passive is only useful for hiding the ult activation and her best disguise targets after laning is over will be supports the majority of the time.

Why does her ult do so much damage with such a low base cooldown? that's not fun. That's Riot perpetuating the damage creep.

Yea except her 1.3 ap ratio ult that also stuns feels unfair

This is how the game should be.

Outsmarting your opponents, not dealing more damage because you picked a certain champion or bought a certain item

I had a situation where i was playing karthus and i saw a 5% hp yorick so i ulted. mid way threw the channel i then noticed yorick also had a death timer. started yelling NO NO NO NO then yorick transformed into a full hp neeko and my ult was put on cooldown ;~;

I don't share your opinion.

I wasn't a fan of how she was able to half health me with one fiendish codex using only one skill.

And as far as im concerned getting big braind by Neeko's mirror skill is as frustrating as getting big brained by a good leblanc. I'm not denying the skill it takes to pull that off, but I'd rather not deal with it.

I really disagree. The champion has not one, not two, but THREE gimmicks. Stealth, cloning, copy cat (this is a new one). I won't even call these strengths or weaknesses, just gimmicks. Shaco has cloning and stealth, those are his gimmicks. Twitch has stealth. Eve has stealth. They decided to give this new champ three gimmicks, on top of having more burst dmg and cc than other 'gimmicky' champs.

Terrible design.

Absolutely not. No champ's adversarial potential should be built on burden of information, and Neeko intentionally obfuscates that. The numbers are fucking outrageous at that. Base and scaling both. Her combined AP ratios for optimal cast have to be like, top ten, at least.

can you stop doing this kind of post after 2 games played against a new champion? and you will come back 15 game later and cry she is broken op, wait for 2-3 weeks before judging a champion .

Neeko is surprisingly fun champion to play as or against. I can't believe riot pulled a champion like this off so well.

It is an interesting mechanic they added and actually points into the direction of outplaying/outhinking your opponent. Only problem is that she is currently a new champion so Riot had to overtune all her damage. While having all this incredible utility. Guess they gotta make money sigh...

Ya, I was playing a match earlier, pushed in a wave top and saw the enemy Xin on my mini map in bot lane. So I go to ward his red that is coming up in 10 seconds. suddenly Xin is in my face and the enemy malz roamed up from mid to ult me as I tried to leave.

Best part about it was that I wasnt even salty about it, it was just so funny to tell my teammates in voice chat that I was going to his red, they say that I'm fine because Xin just showed bot, and then it turns out that Neeko got me. Got me with the 12000 iq play

I couldn't disagree more. Neeko is the epitome of whats wrong with Riot and league. She's INCREDIBLY easy to play and does WAY too much damage. What happened to the idea that the harder a skill is to pull off the more damage it should do?
