Does Renekton still counter Riven?

Serious question because she seems to have complete control of the lane as far as I can tell plus she gets a free kill at 6 because she has enough burst for a 1 combo kill unless you B immediately and buy health or armor, at which point she'll just keep trading with you and wear you down to where she can instagib you.

Maybe I'm wrong, no, probably I'm wrong, I suck at league after all, no need to remind me about that, I'm just wondering why it doesn't seem like there's anything I can do against her.

I'm not complaining I'm honestly curious, it feels like the game has left me behind at this point I don't know why I even play I suck at the game and the meta isn't fun at all, and I probably won't even get a serious answer because when I ask for advice all people tell me to do is neck myself or uninstall or never play ranked again etc etc whatever I'll check this tomorrow to see if I got any decent advice probably not maybe I should just give up.
