At least towers are worthless so they could push down our nexus at 20 minutes since my team refused to surrender! Silver linings!

I mean... If you can 1v2 the enemy team you should be splitting. Taking down side turrets while your team pushes mid/objectives. Opponent team won't be able to stop you without sending 2-3 people after you, giving them a huge disadvantage in teamfights. Even if you do die to multiple opponents, you gave your team time to take objectives or push a lane and get more kills. It's a win/win. If you team wants to be toxic just let them. You're still benefitting the team whether they know it or not.

become a master of your champ. renekton's strength is strong pressence when split. he can also team fight, but he should rarely group - if he does, he's looking to fight NOW or go back to splitting pressure. these are your windows of opportunity, remember to focus on that, and to avoid falling into his weak windows instead. grouping to get silences and stunned - you can predict that and not group. or, you could take red trinket so you can come in flank on surprise and jump on their kog from the get-go, using surprise and a good sense of positioning to engage despite otherwise a lack of strong engage.
