Hello hi please stop hitting wards

If I have a Control Ward in the Dragon Pit and we're doing Dragon, please do not auto attack enemy wards. It grants enemy vision of the pit, and I promise you I'm that bad at Smite wars.

Vision mechanics are so under communicated by the game.

You know the ping you can set in settings that tells your teammates where enemies have vision? They should make it ping it on the ward when you auto it.

Yep. Same goes for the fact that if you destroy an enemy ward it can still see you for around 2 seconds. So they can see in which direction you go after killing it.

Yeah, people dont know it provides vision when being hit, so they find it useful to instead of get drag, get the ward.

I don't know why people don't understand this. Do people never see someone control ward their green wards, notice it's dark, and then suddenly they see them while they AA?

That implies they put down green wards in the first place, that someone bought a pink ward, and that they pay any attention at all to their minimap. Most people don't even put down their free wards.

Another interesting mechanic is if you throw a skillshot that would end up in a place where your enemy has vision, they can often see the entire skillshot.

It's for this reason that I usually walk behind drag and shoot skillshots backwards out of the pit, so enemies on the other side or wards on the other side can't see these skillshots.

It's not a very clearly visualized mechanic that can cost games. I think this is a design flaw more than anything.

It grants vision of the person attacking it and her immediate area. They cannot see the dragon's health or how many people are actually there (unless they're literally all standing on eachother).

I prefer to kill them to prevent a direct TP into our team most cases. I also try to keep vision further out in case they are in fact coming, but I'm a ranged support kinda player, so I'll often be near the entrance to their blue while attacking it.

Exactly this.

Had quite some games in which the enemy didn't clear the ward because of what OP preaches here, then I teleported into the pit to wreak havoc among my enemies as Urgot. Most of the times, it doesn't end well for them and oftenly leads to them completely losing baron to us.

Also if I am clearing a ward and you're not in vision, please don't enter vision to try and steal that ward. So many potential ganks lost to the void from this

Jesi Oni1 votes

Never knew that... So you are invisible even when in radius? Sounds kinda... Useless. People must attack them all the time because I have never seen invisible gank 🤔

Old timer, just in case you didn't know, Control Wards disable regular wards since they replaced Pink Wards. Glad that you keep your eyes open to ganks though.
