its because its counted as an enhanced AA, same reason if you flash or use a mobilty skill to get away you still take the damage.

which is why it should be recoded like Fizz's Q while still being an AA

Yeah I've seen some odd cases with Hecarim's E myself. Although I think it boils down to once Hecarim starts his animation of running into a champion that Champ gets knocked back and takes the damage whether or not Hecarim ever actually touches them.

It's the combination of -increased move speed so he gets close enough faster than you expect -increased auto range for the attack -the charge animation for the auto -the knockback after the charge

So basically he gets in range much sooner than is expected, then he charges as part of the attacks animation to cover the increased auto range. While you can do whatever you want at this point (flash, knock him back, etc) you're still getting hit by the auto since you can't dodge autos. It's not really a great way to manage the spell elements, but there isn't exactly a better way.

Aur Sol simply timed his ulti to interrupt Hecas E. Since Hecas E isnt unstoppable it makes total sense. Nothing particularly new or bad

Aurelion still got hit by the E. it didnt interrupt the E

Aurelion still got hit by the E. it didnt interrupt the E

because he used it after the hec E animation started. Once it starts, it is garunteed to land

Hec E is basically a ranged auto attack (Still melee, but with very long range for a melee auto attack) There isn't a visible particle effect though so if you knock him back as the particle is traveling it looks strange.

If a Soraka aa's you then you knock her out of her range the aa still goes through so it makes sense for Hecarim's to do the same.

I would rather have hec reworked to have more then two useful skills, a skill thats only real use it to proc triforce and a gimicky heal which sound better in theory then it actually works out in game.
