If Vorpal Spikes applys on hit effects he just might be consider the combo full take ecp for item 3124 and item 1419

Then you must be new to league because kayn isn't even in the top 20 for most broken champions of all time.

XinZhao on release?

Irelia In seasons 1 and 2?

Diana on release?

Camille on release?

Evelynn Ryze Riven Katarina Jayce Nidalee Elise Gnar Azir a whole host of champions that are fundamentally busted due to the nature of what makes (or in eve's case, made, since they finally fixed her and she'll never again be insanely busted broken) them unique or scale?

I mean he's on the list with these champs in the last grouping, but not above any of them.

I'm sorry, Katarina? Busted? I'm having a good ol' giggle.

She's fundamentally broken due to the reset mechanics. However, she's tuned REALLY low to offset that and because of this dies instantly to any form of hard CC. She's a fundamentally broken champion that has to be kept tuned so low she's actually useless. Riven is the same. Azir is the same.

Eve had a similar problem because of her passive stealth being active from level 1.

Ryze has always scaled on mana, the same resource that's supposed to GATE him and his power.

All the transforming champs just have WAY to many options and are way too flexible with very few weaknesses but the mechanical difficulty of playing them and moderately tuned numbers keep them playable by top level talent.

She's not broken since her kit hardly even revolves around the reset passive. The most she can do with it now in games vs evenly skilled players is use it to escape or setup more damage for her team.

Even pre-rework it was exaggerated since teams needed to make a myriad of mistakes to actually fulfill the conditions for a Kat player to clean up.

She's tuned down low because Riot hates AP assassins, it's really as simple as that.

However, I do agree with the rest of the champs you have mentioned since they are indeed fundamentally broken.

Any reset mechanic is fundamentally broken because it bypasses the cooldown of an ability, something that is supposed to inhibit a champions power in a certain window of opportunity. This is what forces design choices that make these windows tiny and narrow to the point of almost impossible to pull off.

Tristana has been a staple of competitive play for years due to her reset mechanic allowing her to quickly and easily clean up fights.

Eve had a resetting move speed buff that accomplished something similar.

Khazix is regularly abused for the reset and clean up potential.

Katarina is focused on resets as her core identity and that's a fundamental design flaw which will typically always result in a broken champion. A broken thing does not need to be overpowered, it can be broken and because of that be underpowered and kept deliberately so. As with all fundamentally broken champions, its the nature of the kit that causes the schism.

Should probably have mentioned Kalista in that last grouping too because of her gate being mobility and yet her passive ungating her mobility allowing her to move and attack simultaneously. Some aspects of some champions just never had any business being implemented in game (troll pole any one?).

Again, I agree with the other champs you're mentioning. However, I have to disagree with your statement about Kat again since she's no longer focused on resets as her core identity, her daggers and Shunpo make Katarina who she is today.

Oh no, don't get it twisted, with that ult Kayn is a fundamentally broken champion that will further encourage power creep into the game and is a poor game design choice.

But he's tuned low enough that he shouldn't be too out of line.

I thought for sure this was going to be a Xerath meme, I am disappointed.

Kayn isn't really broken, but he is snowbally as hell like most assassins are.
