Something that could help Aatrox a lot!

Instead of his E being an oppressing, decently ranged skillshot damage that interrupts his auto-attack flow, how about change it to an auto-attack modifier + reset?

Here's how it will work:

E: Blades of Torment - Projectile RANGE: 1000, COST: 5% current health, COOLDOWN: 10 seconds at all ranks.

Aatrox's next basic attack sends out two converging blades of energy towards his target, dealing 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 / 215 + (60% AP) + (60% Bonus AD) magic damage to all enemies struck and slowing them by 40% for 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 / 2.75 seconds.

Basic attacks reduce the cooldown of Blade of Torment by .5 seconds.

Aatrox is one of the few auto-attack reliant champions that lacks an auto-attack reset ability, and it significantly hurts his damage output when one of his primary damage abilities interrupts his auto-attack animation; it makes his E, as well as his ultimate, unbeneficial to use in a skirmish. This change will make him much smoother and give him a small buff that I feel will improve his gameplay significantly.

Or, change his percent health costs to flat health costs? So that he isn't kicking himself in the balls every time he has full health?

DUDE.

Ok, I'm mad. Wt do you think you are doing by trying to put an auto attack reset on Aatrox ??? It's the same reason why Rav isn't as amazing on him as some other items (once you get Bork, that is), compared to Talon, Kha'Zix, or Rengar. I'll tell you why.

Attack Speed based Champions do not need an auto attack reset.

They attack fast enough that it really would not matter.

Plus, resetting you auto animation is good. Well, until the animation takes longer than 2 auto's :D

A better idea:

70% AP scaling on W and passive. Honestly, the passive part isn't required but it would stop it from being hot shit useful every one in a however much the universe costs games. This scaling would make AP Aatrox much more viable, as landing a long range E is actually pretty hard and you don't benefit from Q'ing in purely to land ur E (as compared to E'ing from afar and landing that). In fact, if you miss your E, your only dmg is ult and Spellblade. Right now, AP Aatrox pretty much needs both item 3100 anditem 3285 to be effective - like TF. However, he's not ranged, has less CC, less global map pressure, and equal or slightly lower ratio's (if TF procs his E) than TF.

So if we were to put AP ratio's on Q, Aatrox could Q in, proc Spellblade (if he still needs it), E, then Ult for a 2.3 AP scaling.

So now let's compare with Fizz. FIzz has no poke, compared to Aatrox, same CC but takes longer, no innate sustain, but more (and with faster animations and speed) mobility and damage, especially if he gets the 20% dmg multiplier from ult.

Aatrox assassinates much worse, having to rely on hammering the enemy to death with 50 dmg auto attacks if he doesn't one-shot. However, his CC is more instant. More instant. Compared to something that takes 1.5 seconds to activate.

Aatrox has higher teamfight damage if he lands every skill, but surprise! If we gave him AP ratios on Q, he would do 1150% AP Damage to everyone on the enemy team. Now, that's without Spellblade or Ludens Echo. Or Thunderlords. To compensate, Aatrox has no escapes, no invuln, is forced to build Cdr or else he has an eight second cd E, which is his main poke. Most Cdr items also give Mana (R.I.P. DFG, I never used u and u were broken but still), so he's forced to take Lich Bane (which doesn't give too much mana that it's a wasted stat and is still good because of Spellblade), item 3152 (yes I know half of you are wondering wtf that is), and/or Nashor's Tooth (which is actually alright, but I'm hoping to see that it's not needed for plat+ play).

Aatrox has better sustain due to the W, though it won't be anything else besides a bit of early dmg.

Aatrox has no mana but instead uses life. Though the costs aren't too high without any life items.

The reason I want this change, is, well, both to make AD Aatrox and AP Aatrox viable, as well as hybrid builds. But the other reason is to make AP Aatrox better. If you give me an 8 second cooldown on a poke tool, then I want something else when that's not up. Zigg's has a 6 to 4 second cooldown Q, while Aatrox has a 12 to 8 cooldown E. Who's has more splash? Who's is easier to land? It's Ziggs. Unless your trying to throw it over minions, but if your far away, Aatrox has minimal chance to hit his E. It gets thinner the further it goes, further hurting it as a harass tool. So give me a bit more damage when I jump on them to use my E, so I'm not totally out traded even though I hit all my abilities. Hurt the cooldown if you like - just give me than Q damage.

Also, AP Aatrox is pretty fun. You get to disintegrate fools with 400 base 100% AP ults. And landing that E slow+damage on three enemies... I'd just like to get a little more damage and cause to jump in. All I've got currently is the ult - I'll probably have used E already.

Also, I'd like to oneshot fools without Lich Bane and Luden's Echo as mandatory. If you give him more AP scalings, maybe we wouldn't have to build as much Cdr and therefore do no damage because Cdr items give 0 AP.

Look at this right now and imagine if it were actually viable. Also, so you don't have to rid your team of a bruiser/fighter for another mage and completely mess up ur team comp (though AP Aatrox is still generally better against melees, using it in the mid lane still works - you'll just get bullied super hard early.)
