An anti "nerf Kalista" thread

I can list some things other marksmen have but she doesn't:

  • Wide AoE waveclear.
  • Actual steroids.
  • Magic/true damage/armor shreds (ways to bypass armor stacking)
  • Immediate burst.
  • Independancy from support (if no support is present she has no ult/W).

Not saying she's not strong but seriously, this entire anti-Kalista campaign is very unjustified. Her weakness to attack speed slows is also pretty unique by how slowly she suddenly starts moving. Some parts of her might be a little overtuned (mostly cooldowns), but she definitely has very well defined weaknesses.

As someone who typically plays low mobility bruisers Kallista can easily reach the point where she wrecks me, and I can't do anything about it.

That said I'm smart enough to not be surprised by this if I pick a low mobility bruiser into Kallista. I completely agree with everything you're saying here.

oh im sorry, didnt realize adcs were supposed to have resets, hyper mobility, and mana refunds with zero drawback.

She needs nerfs but I hear the biggest complaints are, "I'm a slow melee champ why can't I catch Kalista" but it's fair that the majority of popular junglers have ridiculous gap closers that can instantly spell the death of most position dependent ADCs.

Her playstyle is less binary which I think is healthy. Kalista may be a little overpowered, but she's not straight broken tier and it seems like every day it's, "nerf rend pls" "nerf passive pls" "kalista ult so annoying omg threw me into the entire team pls let me deny".

If all ADCs get punished for not having proper peel, slow bruisers should be punished for trying to chase down high mobility adcs quickly. So many melee champs have gapclosers to ruin the squishies, why can't one of the squishies have a way to get away?
