Can Duskblade just go already?

And before anyone says "ugh filty ADC main" I OTP Rengar, one of the most heavy item 3147 abusers in the game, and I still despise this item. This item provides way too much benefit for any assassin out there namely:

  • Passive damage from an item (Why!?)
  • True sight when revealed by a ward
  • One shot wards
  • Heavy slow

This item alone devalues assassins' skill floor immensely.

You know what I think is skillful and cool?

Faker's outplay against Ryu.

You know what I don't is?

Zed using W+R to get into melee range, but also putting him out of range to hit additional shurikens, then hitting auto+E to guarantee that his point blank shuriken hits because of the 99% slow on item 3147. Oh but what's this? The bonus damage from Duskblade also amplifies his ult damage? Dead.

It feels like a ton of assassins are balanced around this item, and I just want to see it go already.

"waaaah remove an item because it does a thing waaaah"

Dusk blade is fine, and when you do a little math compared to its peers it only performs averagely.
What needs to change is riots war on vision - not duskblades general usage.

If we could look outside of numbers here and actually realise what Duskblade is capable of. Allowing assassins to hit major part os their kit because of a 99% slow isn't healthy for anyone. Nor is being able to clear an entire jungle side with Blackout.

This item enhances so many assassins that it's insane.

Zed = Damage amplifies his ult and the slow guarantees that his shurikens hit

Kayn = Damage amplified by his passive and he can proc it twice with ult

Rengar = Literally designed to be able to proc continuasly

Khazix = Same shit

Talon = Can't miss W if they're 99% slowed

Shaco = Double proc with clone

If this item gets removed or nerf all these champions and more will drastically drop in win rate, and that's just bad design. It doesn't have anything to do with numbers.

Honestly I think most of the hate for Duskblade is because it offers assassins crowd control (99% slow) and utility (counter-vision), things that you'd generally depend on a Support or Mage for.

You look at the wheel of attributes (idrk what to call it, but it's the Toughness/Damage/Utility/CC/Mobility distribution), and very few assassins I've noticed have any form of hard CC or utility. That 99% slow is practically a root, regardless of how short the duration, and all it serves is keeping people in melee range, what most Duskblade users want.

It's just an overloaded item that compliments AD assassin weaknesses too well.

I'm otp Rengar main as well and I'm not sure if are you just trolling with this post, but you should know that Rengar will never one shot the ad carry with the duskblade if the adc is at the same level as the Rengar is. The second thing is, you need to be 3-4 levels ahead to one shot but now we are talking about the snowball. If you fall behind as a Rengar, no duskblade on this world will save you so not sure why mentioning Rengar here.

Yes. In my post I talked all about how assassins, and especially Rengar, oneshot because of Duskblade.

The only time 'one shot' comes up in my post is when I'm talking about it revealing wards. I mentioned that I OTP Rengar because it's easy to make people quit reading or form an opinion before reading if they imagine you're a victim of what you're complaining about, like ADC players.

i think if duskblade had any changes at all it would be the slow and the detection of wards. it's stupid that an assassin item counters wards.
