Two ranged abilities that are bullsh*t
Blitzcrank's Hook;
Leblanc's Chain.
You can argue that since they are skill shots, they have counterplay because they are able to be dodged.
However, Blitzcrank's grab has such a long range and projectile speed. I find it really oppressive to play against, especially when I'm an immobile ADC like Ashe with a super low base movement speed or a squishy support like Nami. It's frustrating to know that a single hook will lead to death (thus a lost lane), and it puts you on constant edge trying not to get hooked. If we're getting ganked, Blitzcrank just speeds up and leads up to a guaranteed point blank Q or E knock up. He can literally reach you from his caster minions to yours and that just seems so unfair, especially for NEW players. And these are the reasons why immobile ADC's are pushed out by the ones with dashes and high early game pressure. (Therefore, I'm forced to pick mobile ADC's or tanky supports).
Secondly, Leblanc can easily land a chain by simply W right in front of you. After Leblanc chains you (especially if you're a mage), the range on the chain is so long that you're still rooted even if you flash. If I give up a HUGE summoner spell, I feel like I shouldn't have to gamble whether or not I made it far enough a way. It's just so damn oppressive and sets up for easy ganks by the jungler.
In conclusion, Blitz's one ability has too big a reward (instant kill), is too oppressive, and has too much distance. Leblanc's chain has too much distance after you land it, and even if you flash away you are still caught in its range for the jungler to clean you up.
