Solution to Champion Balance: Award More/Less LP based on the strength of champions chosen

Right now I believe the system calculates your LP gains by taking the MMR of every player on your team, the MMR of every player on the other team, and determining which team is more likely to win the match. If the underdog wins, they get more LP, and vice versa.

But why only factor in MMR? When you play a champion like Udyr with a 58% win rate, why should you receive as much LP as someone who wins with a 40% win rate champion like Nunu? Most likely the Nunu player put more effort into the match or played with more skill.

Does this idea make sense? Would Riot consider something like it?

the strength of individual champions varies heavily from match to match, depending on the enemy team composition. how do you want to account for that?

You don't think much, do you?

This is a terrible idea. I it would promote people to play garbage champions and constantly lose because of this. What's so wrong with playing the strong champions?
