Riot, why are on-hit abilities so inconsistent?

Abilities such as Mystic Shot(Ezreal Q) and such has such inconsistency throughout so many interactions with the game.

I will not speak about the other ones, since I do not know if they are 100% like Ezreal's Q. However, it's safe to assume since Yasuo's Q had problems on similar things that Mystic Shot has.

Now let's point out what I'm talking about.

look at the bold wording especially.

##tooltips that work with Mystic Shot:

Sheen: "UNIQUE – SPELLBLADE: After using an ability, your next basic attack (on-hit) deals 100% base attack damage as bonus physical damage. (1.5 second cooldown)"

Bruam passive: "Braum's basic attacks and Winter's Bite each apply Concussive Blows to his target for 4 seconds, stacking up to 4 times. Once the first stack has been applied, any allied champion's basic attack on the target generates an additional stack."

Wow things that say basic attacks seems to work with Mystic Shot, so all should! Except not.

##tooltips that do not work with Mystic Shot:

Rageblade stacking: "UNIQUE: Basic attacks grant 1 stack. At 6 stacks, gain GUINSOO'S RAGE."

Rageblade 6 stacks: "Every other basic attack will trigger on-hit effects an additional time"

Kalista W passve: "If Kalista and her Oathsworn ally land a basic attack against the same target within 2 seconds of each other, the target takes bonus magic damage. "

Now why is it so inconsistent? Wasn't consistency something Riot wanted? I think this should be fixed, cause it's very confusing what works and what doesn't. Especially if you don't have a little experience with the interaction.

I suggest this: Remove the interaction entirely, or fix all of these problems to make them work.

Guinsoo's is an on-ATTACK effect, like Runaan's, not an on-hit like BotRK. Ezreal's Q applies on-hits, but it's not a basic attack. Kalista's is the same thing; it's not classified as an on-hit.

So why do they not clarify any of this on the tooltip?

Uh, they do? Guinsoo's says "Every second basic attack against non-structures will trigger a phantom attack, applying on-hit effects twice." Unless Ezreal's Q was renamed 'basic attack', there's no reason to think it would work.

I guess you didn't even read my thread.

And i quote:

Rageblade stacking: "UNIQUE: Basic attacks grant 1 stack. At 6 stacks, gain GUINSOO'S RAGE."

Rageblade 6 stacks: "Every other basic attack will trigger on-hit effects an additional time"

Ezreal's Q applies on-hit effects. It is not a basic attack, and does not apply on-attack effects.

His point is that "Basic Attack" wording is the exact same wording used on Sheen, which we know Ezreal can use. Sheens tooltip mentions nothing about "on-hit".

Ezreal also draws the short end of the straw in other places due to this interaction. Spell shields block "enemy abilities", and blocks Ezreal's Q, but Ezreal's Q doesn't trigger Deathfire Touch, which triggers off of "ability damage".
