My response to the Mage Update

With the mage update, I felt like I would get my two sense in.

Velkoz I think he is fine, but to add more diversity, Riot might be able to reinforce his ult more. I would like to see stacks of his passive apply faster on his ult, or for him not to be able to be interrupted. When I play and think about vel, it is his lazer.

Brand I think that they could make his passive better against tanks, more %bonus health damage or something. Otherwise I think he is in a good place. This would just give him more of a reason to be picked in certain comps.

Cassiopeia I liked cass as a poison mage. I think that her passive should be scrapped, that twin fang should be reworked and that her ult has a faster cast time. Her ult is a cool ability, and I would like to see it work. I think that cass should be a mana hungry champion, but I don't think that she should have a mana refund mechanic. I think that chalice would take care of that. I think that her passive should have something to do with different types of poison applied on a champion. ( this could work with singed and teemo)

Zyra I think zyra is ok, I would like her ult to knockup faster, but I think that the main thing she needs is more of a targeting system for her plants. I also think that a buff on the cdr passive on her seeds would be appropriate because of the higher cdr cap. She would still be super squishy, which would like to change, but I think it fits her well.

Malzahar Malz is one of my favorite champions I like how he is now, but I agree that there is little counterplay to his ult. I think that if his ult was changed to a skill shot stun. This would do damage, but the real change would be to his null zone. I would like to see it turned to a skill shot, and do massive %health health damage. This would be maybe a bit more than the average damage taken while ulted. I think his q could also be a bit faster. Malz would still be vunerable to ganks and would need to be hyper-aware of the map.

Vladimir I have only played him a bit, but I think he needs to be taken off of health costs. I don't know what needs to be done. One idea that I have is that his ult needs to be more focused on extra damage, in the form of burst. What I would do, is have his ult transform, and buff damage into extra ult damage, and then vlad can heal based on units killed, be it minions or champions. I would keep his pool, but his q wouldn't heal him, and would probably need to be changed.

This is what I think about that changes, let me know what you think.

Edit: I'm going to bed, I'll look in the morning.

Try posting this in the Mid-Year Mage Update Dev Corner thread. They will know what your thoughts are on them quickly. Also there is a chance they might give you some feedback on what their thoughts are, but you can just turn on Rioter Rundown to get a better idea of what they have to say about the other people who have left feedback that could be more easily answered. They are getting a LOT of comments but they can only answer so many.

i like Velkoz. all of his abilities are interesting and feel good to use. i hope his rework is more similar to Caitlyn Corki KogMaw Garen Darius etc. and they keep all of his abilities, but change up his power levels and extra effects.

exact same story for Brand. cool abilities, minimal rework requested. i guess maybe swapping his ult with his W and making his ult a 1-3 bounce with much lower power while making his W a huge AOE with massive damage or something would also be cool, but in general, same 5 abilities pls.

Vladimir is a champ i've enjoyed quite a bit. his Q needs to stay as it is. please rito no skillshot. his passive is cool, and his blood pool is iconic, cool, and NOT unfair. it's got a long cooldown and reduces his mobility, unlike Fizz troll pole which has a short cooldown and increases his mobility. I like the risk/reward aspect of his E, but it's got too much reward with effectively no risk, and if they were going to change something to a skillshot, it should be this. i'm not saying it should be a skillshot, but it should be less consistent and have the risk on it increased.

Malzahar has very boring skills aside from his iconic space aids, and his ult is absolutely a problem. i'd be 100% fine with them changing ALL of his abilities except for the space aids.

Zyra is a champion that disappointed me from the very start. her plants feel almost irrelevant, they die so fast even if nobody hits them and their contribution to your damage is hardly noticeable. i'd be very excited to see a Zyra rework that emphasizes her plants and makes them feel important and fun to use.

Cassiopeia is an odd one, and i'm doing her last because i don't even really know what i want out of her. i enjoy playing her, and i think the dynamic of keeping people poisoned to ramp up crazy damage is cool, but i have no idea what i want to be done with her. all i can do is leave that one up to rito and hope that her eventual rework reveal will make me as giddy as Poppy did.

Velkoz needs TwistedFate geometry Q to be consistent with his kit concept. The waveclear for each should be swapped.
